Overview

Affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi (Affiliation No. 1930501)

Founded in 1958 at T Nagar with the blessings of the Paramacharya, Sree Sankara Bala Vidyalaya was envisioned as an institution where modern education and cultural values could coexist with dignity. Over the decades, the school has earned a reputation for academic strength, strong board performance and character-building education that prepares students for life beyond the classroom.

SSBV joined the CBSE curriculum in 1985 and quickly became known for consistent board results, including a sustained streak of 100 percent pass outcomes from 1993. In 2001, the school transitioned to the Matriculation Board of the Government of Tamil Nadu and went on to lead the locality in 2002 and 2003. The spirit of excellence continues today with a focus on holistic development, discipline, confidence and cultural rootedness.

The institution remains guided by the enduring legacy of Late Smt. and Sri K.M.S., whose values continue to shape its purpose and progress.
